Howl-O-Ween!
A huge thanks to all who helped make The 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween event a family and four-legged fun experience! Here are some shots featuring our four-legged attendees.
The Portacool Park Pavilion was the place to be on Saturday, October 26, for Happy Tails’ 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween! Admission was free and event is open to the public, 11a.m.- 1 p.m.
Costume contests for kids & dogs with CASH PRIZES. Doggie contests, face painting, Halloween decorating, kids games, live pet adoptions, and more! Age groups for kids’ costumes: 0-2 years old; 3-5; 6-8; 9-12; and 12 years & older. Dog costumes judging in size categories of small, medium and large.
Cash prizes in each category include 1st Place-$25; 2nd Place - $15; and 3rd Place- $10 - with ribbons awarded!
June Adoption Event!
Lizzie and Patches have new homes as do some other kittens at Tuesday’s Happy Tails Adoption Center event at Tractor Supply in Center. A big thanks to donors of pet food, supplies and cash in the animal welfare programs of Happy Tails Adoption Center.
May Adoption Event!
What a day for Happy Tails Adoption Center! We had seven adoptions - six puppies and one kitten found their furever homes! A special thanks to our Happy Tails volunteers, the crew at Tractor Supply in Center for hosting us, our donors and sponsors, and a ginormous thanks to the unsung heroes in the Happy Tails community- our fosters! They are the ones who step up, take in strays and animals dumped along roads, ditches, and yards throughout the area, feed them, pamper them and give them hope for a brighter future! They cannot be thanked enough!!

Our first big fundraising event on May 13th called Bark-A-Rama was a complete success!! This fun filled day included a Wag n’ Walk, Paws for a Cause paintings by dogs, kids face painting, photo opportunities, cool refreshments from Lou Lou's Shaved Ice and other activities for the whole family. We want to thank all the good folks of Shelby County who came out to show support for this much needed community service for our local furry friends.
